American Recovery Association, Inc. (ARA) will treat ARA potential membership
applicant information as well as ARA member information as confidential
and will not disclose or use that information other than as necessary to
carry out the purposes for which ARA applicants and members furnished their
information to ARA. ARA will limit access to ARA applicant and ARA member
information to only those employees, agents, or representatives who have
a need to know that information to perform their functions. ARA staff and
employees follow the guidelines set forth in the Gramm-Leach Bliley Act
and adhere to those guidelines.
American Recovery Association, Inc. Members (ARA) will treat ARA Client information
furnished to it by ARA Clients who use the ARA directory as confidential and
will not disclose or use ARA Client information other than as necessary to carry
out the purposes for which the information was furnished. ARA members will limit
access to ARA Client information to only those employees, agents, or representatives
who have a need to know customer information to perform their functions. ARA
members are well versed and continuously educated and adhere to the guidelines
set forth in the Gramm Leach Bliley Act.
ARA members will take necessary technical and organizational precautions to ensure
that ARA Client information is protected from unauthorized access, alteration,
disclosure, erasure, manipulation, and destruction by third parties while ARA
Client customer information is in the possession or under the control of ARA
members. ARA members will ensure that ARA Client customer information is not
processed in other ways contradictory to privacy and/or data protection laws.
ARA members will maintain sufficient procedures to detect and respond to security
breaches involving Client customer information. ARA members will inform ARA Clients
as soon as practicable when ARA members suspect or learn of malicious activity
involving ARA Client information in accordance with the Gramm-Leach Bliley Act.
A copy of this statement will be sent to each ARA applicant for membership. ARA
members will be sent a copy of this statement which they will sign in acceptance
of these terms and return a copy to be filed.
A copy of this statement will be published in all copies of the ARA
Directory and also on the ARA website. |
