THE NOTICE TO ARA MEMBERS FROM THE PRESIDENT
To all ARA Members,
After
months of preparation the ARA Board is pleased to announce the
opening of our new office in Dallas, Texas. As you are aware
the devastation caused by the hurricanes in the Gulf Coast region
of our country has created many hardships for the people and
businesses of the area. Our home office, our staff and our members
have had to deal with these difficult circumstances for more
than six months now and many will face challenges for years to
come. We have offered assistance to the affected members in the
form of dues relief for the next billing cycle. There is no way
this will make them whole or totally replace the lost business
that occurred due to the disaster. It is much needed and appreciated
help. We believe the actions taken will not hinder our plans
to continue the expansion of our partnerships and marketing efforts
on behalf of our members. We are proud of the significant progress
we have made and are excited by the opportunities that continue
to be presented. It is with some sadness and yet a great deal
of excitement we want to explain the Board’s decision to
move our home office to the Dallas, Texas area.
It has been a struggle to accommodate the needs of our employees
and meet the requirements of our home office operations. The inability
to get mail or overnight service has created an unacceptable level
of support to our members and clients. The circumstances have made
it impossible to find qualified replacements for our home office
staffing needs. We were not able to schedule our mid-winter board
meeting in New Orleans due to the lack of hotel accommodations.
We formed a committee to explore the cities of Atlanta, Dallas
and Phoenix as potential home office locations. It was decided
that Dallas was by far the most affordable and convenient community
for the relocation. Many of our current and future partners are
in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex. It only makes good business
sense to go where our clients and partners are. Our new address
is 5525 N. MacArthur Blvd. Suite 135 Irving, Texas 75038. Our new
phone number will be 972.755.4755. We have arranged for the existing
numbers and addresses to be good for two more years so as not to
lose the valuable investment we have made to date listing them.
Our next newsletter will have more information.
Les McCook, President
American Recovery Association.
