American Recovery Association, also known as the “ARA”, takes reasonable measures to ensure the accuracy of the information contained within our directory as well as our web site. Member’s listings are in the order of the year of membership into the association. Some of our members further list cities which are covered by their offices known as “refer - to’s. The listings of our member’s under each refer - to city, are also in order of membership year. This does not mean the member who is listed in the first position under any refer - to is necessarily closer than any other members.

When assigning an account using the ARA directory or web site, please confirm and verify the charges for any particular account. Keep in mind when assigning an account, there may be more then one available choice. We would recommend contacting all of the agencies listed under the city of interest to you. Verify all costs, location and a description of their business enterprise. It is important you have a complete understanding of the total costs to handle your assignment. Total costs could mean, repossession fee, mileage, insurance, keys, drivers, wreckers, close outs, etc. Flat fees may also be quoted. Make sure you understand what all is/is not covered under flat fees.

The American Recovery Association continues to reflect an international presence. Various members provide repossession services in such locations as the Bahamas, Canada, Costa Rica, England, Guam, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Thailand and the Virgin Islands. Office locations and refer-to listings appear in our directory. We do note, however, that currently ARA bond coverage is applicable only for services rendered within the United States.

Through our web site at www.repo.org, There are several ways to do a search for our member locations and refer - to cities. City/state search, allows you to search by entering any city and the state for that particular city. International search allows you to search for our members who handle accounts out of the United States, through our pop down box showing the International city’s handled by our members. Company name brings up any particular member searched for by agency name. Owner name, allows you to search for member offices using the name of the owner of any particular agency. Finally, Zip code search, allows you to search for the member believed to be potentially closest to any city.

Each office is owned independently by professional repossessors. ARA cannot dictate fee structures to our members. American Recovery Association (ARA) cannot be responsible for the fees charged by our members. It is important that fees are discussed prior to assigning an account.
